Steam barramundi fillet in Teochew style
My favorite way of steaming fish… instead of usual promfet, I use fresh barramundi fillet from @kuhlbarra and really love the freshness & sweetness 😋
Simple recipe:
Ingredients
200g barramundi fillet
2 slice ginger ( put under fish when steaming)
1 tomato ( slice into wedges)
2-3 dried Chinese mushrooms ( soak till soft and slice)
1 small pc of salted veg ( slice thinly)
1pc of salted sour plum 咸水梅(lightly press) + 1-2tsp of the salted sour plum water from the bottle
1-2 tbsp water
Chinese parsley for garnish
Methods
Arrange all the ingredients on a plate, bring water to boil before putting in to steam for 10min. Garnish with chinese parsley and ready to serve
